![]() Add in the evil Hugh Grant as Forge and his partner in crime, Daisy Head (Sofina), who is as menacing as she is bald in the film, and you have a perfect cast recipe for success.ĭungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves not only tells a fantastic story, but it is visually stunning, from the beautiful landscapes to the CGI effects and the creatures created using puppets. I would be amiss not to also mention the heartthrob Regé-Jean Page, who plays Xenk the Paladin, who has an ease and calmness about his character that exudes a goodness that is contagious. Juxtaposed to Simon, played by Justice Smith, is a sorcerer who lacks self-confidence and magic skills. Lillis plays Doric, a Tiefling (who can shapeshift into an animal) who is not fond of humans but is strong and confident in her own skin, whatever that happens to be at the time. While Edgin and Holga are the center of the story, they are very much part of a team along with Sophia Lillis and Justice Smith. Pine and Rodriguez have great chemistry together and play off each other well, with Pine being the charismatic sweet-talker and Rodriguez being the quieter one who brings the brawn. Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez play sort of the odd couple, Edgin and Holga, who have been in prison together for the last two years for theft. The dialogue between characters, the situation comedy, and the one-liner quips are perfectly timed and do not wear out their welcome, like one would expect to find in many of these types of films.ĭungeon & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves includes an incredible and talented cast that all brought something to the film with their strong performances. To be totally honest, I was not expecting the movie to be this funny, and it is rare to watch an action flick such as this and see every single joke land and land well. Overall Thoughtsĭungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a total blast that is clever, well written, and absolutely hilarious. Young viewers are not recommended to view this film. Some of the violent scenes include hand-to-hand combat, weapons and swords used, dangerous situations that put characters lives in peril, some beheadings, and battles with dark creatures and dragons. Mature Content: Other than the bad language mentioned above, the other big indicators of adult themes include persistent violence. Stronger words include sh*t, son of a b*tch, d*mmit, b*st*rd, hell, and prick. Language: Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves contains some strong language, with light profanity used throughout.
